Earl Moran

Earl Moran He was born in 1893 in Belle Plaine, Iowa, and studied at the Chicago Art Institute. In 1931 he opened his own studio and a year after he began working for Brown & Bigelow.

He also painted covers for important magazines such as Life or Beauty Parade and did some posters for films as "Something for the Boys" (1944) directed by Lewis Seiler.

A young Marilyn Monroe became the main model for Moran and posed for him from 1946 to 1950.

He continued working for Brown & Bigelow until the lates 50's when he decided to sign a contract with Aaron Brothers Galleries.

Moran was a very prolific artist and used to paint his beautiful and voluptous girls in different situations because he didn't want to repeat always the same subjects in his paintings.

He died in 1984 in Santa Monica.
