Enoch Bolles

He was born in 1883 and early he began working for the Dell Publishing Company painting front covers for numerous pulp magazines such as Film Fun, Screen Romances, Stolen Sweets, Gay Book, Judge, Titter, Cupid's Capers, Live Stories, Spicy Stories, Bedtime Stories, Tattle Tales, or Gay Parisienne.

From 1921 to 1948 Bolles published much of his work at Film Fun becoming world-famous thanks to his sexy pin-up girls who had childlike smiling faces and voluptous bodies that showed provocative poses.

It is said that almost at the end of his career he had psychological problems that led him to repaint some of his paintings adding abominable touches on his wonderful girls.

Bolles died in 1976 when he was 93.
