Blaze Starr

Blaze Starr She was born in 1932 in West Virginia. This incredible red haired girl of wonderful large curved body was known by the name of "Miss Spontaneous Combustion" or "The Hottest Blaze in Burlesque". When she had to feature an act she was quite imaginative and creative and still today she is remembered because of her legendary shows as for example one in which she played drums wildly as she was in the middle of the jungle. Even once she was able to train a panther for one of her striptease numbers but suddenly one day the animal was found dead so she played her act as the own panther standing at her fours and growling to the public.

She acted in some "nudies" films as "Buxom Beautease" (1956) directed by Irving Klaw, or "Blaze Starr Goes Wild" (1960) by Doris Wishman.

She had a romance with John F. Kennedy and also with Earl Long, gobernator from Louisiana. This story was recreated by Ron Shelton in his film "Blaze" (1989) played by Paul Newman and Lolita Davidovich.

Nowadays Blaze is a reputable gemologist and has a jeweler's shop in Eldersburg, Maryland.
