Thanks to Marilyn Monroe's success she found a true gold mine bringing near her voluptous body to everyone who dreamed with her curves becoming The Marilyn Monroe of Burlesque featuring in her striptease shows as if she was the real actress. She copied her hair cut, her make-up and also her personal gestures looking like the real actress in some photos.

After Marilyn's premature death Dixie's artistic career was seriously damaged until she decided to renew her show as a personal tribute to the great Hollywood star.

When the burlesque dancer Jennie Lee died in 1990, she took charge of "The Burlesque Hall of Fame" a museum dedicated to Burlesque world in which they are shown photographs and some important dancers clothings as for example Lili St. Cyr or Tempest Storm. Nowadays she is still the president and the personal guide for the museum's visitors.
