Irish McCalla
She was born on Christmas Day in the year 1929.
Irish had a beautiful body and early became a famous model posing even once for the great illustrator Alberto Vargas.
She was married three times, the second one with the british actor Patrick Horgan and she had two children with her first husband Patrick McIntyre.
She made her debut as an actress by the hand of the film "River Goddesses" (1952) in which she appeared with another five beauties in the Grand Canyon.
Further on she played the main role in the television series "Sheena, Queen of Jungle" and had a great success. Lately she acted in another famous serieses such as "Tarzan", "Wonder Woman", or "Xena: Warrior Princess".
She also acted in some films as "She Demons" (1958) directed by Richard E. Cunha, "The Beat Generation" (1959) by Charles F. Haas, "Five Gates to Hell" (1959) by James Clavell, "Five Bold Women" (1960) by Jorge López Portillo, and "Hands of a Stranger" (1962) by Newt Arnold.
Because of her artistic career she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In 1996 she appeared last time in public dressed as Sheena in an autograph convention.
When she was retired from screens she took up painting and it became one of her big passions. She was a prolific artist and her work has been displayed at the "Los Angeles Museum of Arts and Sciences".
She finally died when she was 73 because of a brain tumor.
